Terms of TradeConstruction Coatings Nelson LimitedTerms and ConditionsThe following conditions, unless specifically excluded, form part of this quotation and should be noted before deciding to proceed with the proposed work. 1. Scaffolding: Suitable safe scaffolding and planks are the responsibility of the owner or the main contractor. All scaffolding has to be clear of the exterior wall by at least 200mm. 2. Site Provisions: Clean, dry storage will be needed for materials, and we will require the full time use of a single phase power outlet and a water tap. 3. Payment: Contracts are normally based on progressive payments unless special circumstances require an alternative and are bound by the Construction Contracts Act.
6. Commencement of work: Please sign and return the acceptance copy as soon as possible so your work can be programmed into our current work load. Until we receive your acceptance, we must assume that you have either delayed the project or intend to use another system or contractor. Please ensure that you notify to us the start/completion dates and any liquidated damages that may apply prior to accepting our price. 7. Insurance: All risk contractors insurance cover will be the responsibility of the main contractor or the owner. We will not be liable for any accidental damage that could normally be covered by such a policy. 8. Warranty: Only the best of materials are supplied and used. We will therefore stand by the quality of the material and services that we provide. However, we cannot accept any responsibility for damage or defects caused by timber or background shrinkage or movement, nor any other cause beyond our control. A warranty will only be issued when payment has been made in full. 9. Quotation: Quotations are based on current material costs and awards. Should there be any increases, they will be notified in writing as soon as possible, but in all cases prior to the commencement of any work. Any variation from the plan or specification or from measurements taken on site will be charged for on the basis of this quotation and will be shown as an extra in the invoice. All work is contingent upon strikes, lockouts or any other causes which are beyond our control. If you have any questions or wish to vary the contract in any way, please do not hesitate to telephone.
