Construction Coatings Nelson Limited is headed by Managing Director Phil McMath, and is supported by various part time administration staff.   Along with management of the company; Phil comes from a sales background, so is responsible for sales and marketing.

Based in Blenheim, Phil spends up to eight days a month in Nelson visiting clients and suppliers.  So if there is anything that he needs to look at in the Nelson/Tasman region, the next trip won't be far away.  He also does scheduled trips to Murchison and the West Coast during the year.

Yachting is Phil's passion; so along with regattas, are leisurely trips in the Marlborough Sounds with his family. 

Introducing the on-site team

Mark Fyfe - Painting Foreman Responsible for the painting team, Mark looks after the day-to-day aspect of which staff are at which site and making sure they have the materials needed to get the job done.  He does pricing and liaising with clients, as well as being on the end of a paintbrush.  He's a very busy man! In his spare time Mark is into tramping - having accomplished walks up Mt Fishtail and Mt Tapuaenuku; and rock music - often travelling away to concerts.
Paul Newman - Painting Leading Hand Vastly experienced in painting and also in specialist coatings, Paul is the longest standing employee having been with the company group since 1990.  He has a diverse range of talents across the spectrum of painting, decorating and specialist coatings. A keen road cyclist, Paul doesn't compete any more, but is often seen out training in bunch rides.
Wayne Coutts - Specialist Coatings Foreman Based in Nelson, Wayne is in charge of the Specialist Coatings team.  He has been with Construction Coatings since 1998, so knows the industry well, and has many repeat clients.  The Specialist Coatings team often work within food preparation areas, and renew specific site inductions on an annual basis.  Wayne and his wife are both Goldwing motorcycle enthusiasts, and have two children now attending tertiary education.
Kevin Bishell - Painter A qualified painter with many years of experience, Kevin is a bit of a perfectionist with a paintbrush. With a young family and also a competitive mountain biker and road cyclist, Kevin's spare time is taken up quite easily.
Benji Keenan - Apprentice Painter & Wallpaperer Choosing to do a full apprenticeship including wallpapering, Benji needs to do 7000 hours to get his qualification and is about two thirds of the way through.  He is picking up valuable skills and working well. Benji is a keen rugby player, and is currently a representative in the Marlborough Mixed 7's, Marlborough Rugby Age Group, and the Crusaders Age Group squads.
Scott Fyfe - Apprentice Painter Flying through his 5000 apprenticeship hours, Scott will be fully qualified as a painter at the end of 2011.  He has developed good painting skills, and is also learning a little about specialist coatings. An accomplished sailor, Scott has competed at various international sailing events in Portugal, Ireland, and Croatia.  Currently he is enjoying fishing for Snapper.
Mike Andrews - Specialist Coatings Applicator The newest member to the team, Mike came on board as a casual coatings applicator in March 2011.
